Curses, Powers

Prompt: Curses only have power if you let them. Do you agree? Does this apply to other concepts of your life as well?

My son has the July curse. He broke his arm when he was little, fell and needed stitches in his chin, broke his tooth, cut his foot, had a leg infection, had seven flat tires and this all happened in July, different years. The July curse skips a few years but bad things always happen in July for him.

I have had a friend die every October for the past 7 years. I dread October. Last month? A friend's cat died and her boyfriend the month before.

Do curses have power? I am always dreading July and October. I worry during these months. I worry about diseases, things at my job and other things in my life. They can take power and take over. I pray. I go to church when I can. I work weekends at times so I can't go to church every weekend. I try to stay on top of things and not worry. I want to enjoy life and not being upset all my life. So I write. I shop, scrapbook, color and watch movies. I don't like anything over power over me except God and Jesus. I love being happy and carefree!
