SALVATION - October 13

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. (See Matthew 18:11; Luke 19:10)

Luke 5:31-32 -- Jesus answered, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

And in Luke 13:3, Jesus said, ".....unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish."

"re·pent·ance" defined is "the action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse;" "each person who turns to God in genuine repentance and faith will be saved"; synonyms: remorse, contrition, contriteness, penitence, regret, ruefulness, remorsefulness, shame, guilt

According to Hebrews 11:6, "...without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

Turn and confess your sin today; then turn to God, in earnest, and you will be saved. Corinthians 6:2 --- For God says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you." Indeed, the right time is now. Today is the day of salvation.

When we turn from our sin and to God in sincere repentance, we are "born again" to eternal life. (See John 3:1-21.)

"For God so loved the world (that is the people in the world) that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever (that's you and me) believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." ~John 3:16

Once you turn your life over, you must tell someone. For Jesus also said...

…What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses or forfeits his very self? If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truthfully, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”… ~Luke 9:25-27 [Berean Study Bible]

Telling someone, seals the deal.
