My daily devotional insights... and reflections. |
Jesus says, "Some honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me." On the day of judgment, "He will sadly say: Depart from Me, I never knew you." To really know someone, you must spend time with them... study them, if you will. Love is more than lip service. This message is appropriate and always timely as God wants us to honor Him with our hearts---not just our lips. It's easy to speak about someone, but He wants us to "know" Him... know how He operates, know what is important to Him, know His will. When we know Him, we automatically serve Him better and it becomes easier and easier to put Him first in our lives. ----------------------------------------------- Additionally, many of us are living beneath the blessings God would like to extend. Could this be because we are stingy with what God has given us? For instance, maybe we pay our workers (those within our realm of authority) a bare minimum and, therefore, receive a minimal return on that investment. God says, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." ~Luke 6:38 May you listen intently and really hear His voice today, sow extravagantly and receive His abundant blessings in your life, which naturally overflow to all those around you! May God be with you! |
