The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |

As 2016 draws to an end my smoke alarm is chirping, which means that the battery needs changing. Since getting on chairs or ladders is out of the question for me, I'll have to get De to change it or call the rental agent to get the maintenance tech to change it. I had someone put the battery in when I first moved in over a year ago and haven't changed it since it was put in. There wasn't any need because it has worked well as a cooking timer. I know that is an old and tired joke, but it's also true especially when the stove top needs cleaning. This has been an interesting year. This has been a stressful year. This has been a wonderful year. Those three thing bundled in one year means that I have a lot to think about before the year ends. The truth is that I don't really want to review 2016 before I set my goals for the coming year. I'm not sure that it really matters anyway because the eleven weeks between Sunday, January 1, and Monday, March 20, will be dedicated to determining what I want to accomplish in the year 174 BE. I celebrate New Year on Naw-Ruz which occurs on the spring equinox.
Right now, the only thing I'm planning on doing in January is make a few writing goals. I'm still not sure about the writing goals I want to make. I'm considering going back to making a daily or weekly word count goal. I haven't did this in a couple of years because my obsessive-compulsive tendencies rear their heads and I get stressed when I don't accomplish that goal. I could either talk myself out of or into making a word count goal by the first two weeks in January. One thing I know I want to do is make entries either everyday or every-other-day in Poet 999 - A Butterfly Emerges from Her Cocoon1. I've been making post in it for the past few weeks when I can think of a theme. Maybe I need to make a list of daily themes again for that blog; at least that way I won't struggle to find a topic.
