Stern TaskMistress, Sea, Life, Cruel Mistress
BCOF Prompt: "I think the truth is a really stern task mistress." Carrie Fisher

Blog City Prompt: The sea is a cruel mistress. So is life. What are your views on this?

I loved Princess Leia. I am a big fan of "Star Wars." She was a Princess. Truth being a stern task mistress. Life is never easy and it seems like we are being tested and life can be cruel. "Star Wars" is fictional but living in outer space would be rough and stern. Look at all the action and drama they face.

The truth hurts. If you are honest, do your best and try not to hurt people, people can say what they want. Some people like to gossip and hurt others. Someday, they will get a payback. Try to learn from your mistakes and do good, so no one can say mean things and be a cruel mistress towards you.

Sea being a cruel mistress. Lakes are, too. How many ships have gone down in the ocean and lakes? I live 45 minutes away from Michigan and her waves can be wicked. We never know what we will face in life and we love life, oceans and lakes but there is never easy sailing on the sea and lakes or just getting through life. We do the best we can. I guess if life was perfect, we would be bored and writers wouldn't be able to give us books and movies.

Pray, do the best you can and be thankful our problems aren't worse and hopefully, we won't let our stern and cruel mistresses win!

I will treasure "Star Wars" more and be glad I was there from the beginning when Princess Leia was Princess of the Universe!
