The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Friday, December 30, 2016 What are my 2017 goals? I'm not sure how to answer this question. I've considered this for the past few weeks and haven't come to any conclusion. I'm not sure if I even want to set goals for 2017, but if I don't have something to focus on then I'm just going to waste time spinning my wheels or playing games. Yesterday, in "Looking Forward to 2017" , I listed some books I want to read. However, that doesn't satisfy my urge to write. For some reason my mind draws a blank when I consider my 2017 goals, so maybe I just need to list twelve or more things I want to accomplish and let it go at that. The problem I have with list goals is that I either make them too concrete or so watery that they don't set properly. Goals or Resolutions List Stop wasting time with survey groups that don't pay out what they promise. Pick out one novel to edit during the year. Cut the cable T.V. and keep only the Cox Internet connection. Read the books I've picked out to read and make blog entries or write poems about the experience. Find a less expensive place to live. Stuff a sock in the mouth of my inner critic. Review a few items everyday. Enter a minimum number of contests every week. Attempt to keep my e-mail boxes cleaned out. |
