Learning Enough

Blog City Prompt: A little boy came home from his second day of Kindergarten and said he had learned enough. Joy asked if we have felt like that in our lives.

We learn new things all the time. I went to college for 2 years and got an Associates Of Arts Degree, going into Journalism but didn't go any further. I went into Nursing. I took a Free Lance Writing Course and Short Story Writing Class and have diplomas in them. I subscribed to Writers Digest books and Writers Digest Magazine and four years later, I decided I am not going to buy any more of the writing books because I wasn't learning anything. To write a best seller, it will just have to be luck and something people will love. What? I don't know. It would be nice to have a Creative Writing Degree but I am too old to go to school.

I take classes online for my mental health job and I don't learn anything new. It is the same stuff year after year. I read all the time and write and I learn from members here about writing but learning is hard as you get older. I wish I was smarter but not like Sheldon Cooper of "Big Bang Theory"! I never had any desire to know about science so I will stick to the things I want to learn. I learn about life every day.
