This year, 2017, the vernal equinox falls on March 20, and the Baha'i calendar (also called the Badi calendar)2, turns over at sunset on the evening of March 19. This year I am beginning a new poetry journal called "Bicentenary Poems and Prose" because we will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah. Then in 2019 we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Birth of the Bab. Indigo3 Friday Indigo Friday Walk into the mystical The land of wisdom Gray clouds promise rain Encourage meditation Mastery of self Indigo Friday Spiritual awakening Intoning God's word It's a cloudy day here in Las Vegas. It looks like rain. It may have rained last night or early this morning because I think I hear raindrops when I woke up. Rainy days always give me a mystical feeling. I think that's why I wrote Indigo Friday. I had to look up the meaning of the color because I had forgotten the other meanings besides mystical. Footnotes |
