Let God Promote You - March 27

In the book of Exodus, Chapter 31, God is instructing and calling forth builders, note those whom He calls forth to do the appointed work---the wise-hearted---and He tells Moses that HE HAS PUT WISDOM WITHIN THEM that they may accomplish all He has called them to do:

"He says, 'See I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur of the tribe of Judah:

'And I have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom and in understanding and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

'To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

'And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

'And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiah, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted, I have put wisdom, that they may make all I have commanded thee;

'The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon and all the furniture of the tabernacle,

'And the table and his furniture...'" (See Exodus 31, specifically verses 2-7... and read on.)

And so God does with each of us as we submit ourselves to Him, He equips those whom He calls... You and me.
Therefore, let us not boast in and of ourselves----or even of the talents He has given us.

"'…Do not lift up your horn on high, Do not speak with insolent pride.'" For not from the east, nor from the west, Nor from the desert comes exaltation; But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.… ~Psalm 75:5-7

I'm reminded of the removal of King Saul in the Old Testament and God's replacement, King David.

God, help us to look to You ONLY for our sustenance, wisdom and work, in all that we have and in all we do. Today, we acknowledge our need for You in order to fulfill the plans and purposes You have for our lives; and we thank You that You have called us highly favored in Your sight because of the Blood and testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.
