Purple Rain Poem, A Year After His Death
I never meant to cause you any problems. I never meant to cause you any pain. I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain. Purple rain. Purple Rain."
Prince, I never knew you personally. I loved
your music. I even have a Prince group on a
writing web site. I haven't watched your movie
"Purple Rain" like I wanted to but you were my favorite.
I see my purple Prince Bear every morning. He sits on
a table beside my bed. I enjoy listening to your music
and looking at the magazines of you I bought after your
death. I read a Biography book about you and loved it.
I am sure you are in Heaven and I when it rains, I
think of purple rain and all your neat fashions. I
hope to meet you someday in Heaven. Your music will
never fade away. It will play forever in the purple rain.
I was dancing and singing to your song: "Let's Go Crazy."
A guy I work with belted out the lyrics and this song
made me smile. I get sad and cry when I hear: "Purple Rain."
I love you Prince. Rest in peace as the world remembers you.
