The Handkerchief Dilemma-- when you wake up sick what is it that you focus on? Getting better or all the things that aren't getting done. Do you force yourself to do them anyway regardless if you're sick or do you just leave them until you're feeling better?

The Handkerchief Dilemma

Am I ill
or is it an allergy?
The wind is blowing through
an olive tree
carrying pollen up or down my street.

The wind can't decide
which way to blow,
so it carries pollen
and dust everywhere
without giving me a chance
to decide
if I'm really sick
or experiencing an allergy.

What project
shall I work on today,
I can't just sleep
and let my allergies play?
