My daily devotional insights... and reflections. |
When we receive Jesus as our Savior, He sets us apart and says: "Be ye Holy because I Am Holy." ~1 Peter 1:16 In order to properly serve Him in the earth, we yield to Him, allowing ourselves to be set apart (sanctified, sacred). He then becomes Lord of our lives. May we fully surrender ourselves to God and, thus, walk in "habitual fellowship" with Him. "…So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.…" ~Ephesians 5:14-16 (Berean Study Bible) In other words: "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise..." ~Ephesians 5:15 (King James Version) "…We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first. As it has been said: 'Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion.' For who were the ones who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?…" ~Ephesians 3:14-16 Finally, "…Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.…" ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Happy Easter Weekend! Have a Blessed Saturday! |
