peace
is deep blue
and soft, a cloak in cashmere
and fluff, enveloping,
warm, and tastes
of hot chocolate with cream,
after the cold.

it is the light green
of the first leaves of spring,
new and fragile, and smells
of mulch and spearmint,
of waking with bright eyes
to a new world.

it is the white of empty clouds
high in the heavens,
and the warmth of the sun
and laughter, and cuddles,
and safety.

Writing this made me sad. I wish that we had more peace in the world.

Writing about abstractions is difficult. I finally chose peace because in many languages, what we call Easter is peace.
