Last Train Home
Last Train Home
Perish the thought of blind ambition,
you lost sight of intuition
Your moral compass, shot to hell
Story no one left would want to tell
An image grand, you resurrected
greed and power, your mind infected
Any kindness took the last train home
You'll leave as you wished me, alone
You built your empire on sand and rock,
Generosity was not in your store and stock
You have to counter my every move
That only serves, my point to prove
January's major entrance proved to be a bust
In your glee to earn the sacred trust
Forever damaged the fragile bridge in time
Like you, this poem has run out of rhyme......
