Seek His Face in Prayer - August 2

         Seek His face today---in prayers and fasting and thanksgiving. Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. (Psalm 127:1-4) Hypocrites like places of honor, yet they do not know God. (See Matthew 23.) Despite what others may do, wise men (and women) still seek Him. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6)

         Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:8)

         One thousand will flee at the threat of one man; You will flee at the threat of five, Until you are left as a flag on a mountain top And as a signal on a hill. Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.… (Isaiah 30:17-19)

         He said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." Lift Him up, all ye people, lift Him up.
