The House of The Undying Story Telling
Nothing seemed real in this mad world. It was cruel and unjust. Thomas gathered his belongings in his, what would have been home and took one last look behind him as he shut the door.

Gone, everything was gone. Right down to his own family. They were taken and Thomas wasn't sure how or why he wasn't. The city was dark now with no lights. The only light that shone was the moon, but due to the haze that hovered the earth, even that was dim.

He had one flash light and took whatever batteries he could find helping him to see. He knew this part of town very well and didn't need light to see his path, but he didn't know what was out there either so he kept it close.

Thinking back to two days ago, Thomas went through it in his mind over and over again. Everything was normal. Dad was getting ready for work. Mom was cooking breakfast and he and his sister were fighting about who was going to get to drive to school. His twin sister probably would have won that one if everything stayed as it was.

There was a smell in the air. Thomas noticed it first and thought it was sulfur. Mom shut the windows. Nobody thought it was anything at first. His sister, Lucy suddenly felt sick, then dad. Thomas went to the downstairs bathroom shut the door and put the fan on. He didn't realize it was as bad as it was until he heard sirens and people in his house with raised voices. Voices that didn't sound human. He sat there a long time before he went back upstairs. That is when he realized the world if not just the city has come to some sort of end.
