My Purpose

Our lives are about those who matter
the ones in need of special attention.
Without them my heart would shatter
even when it's unwanted tension.

There are those days I want to run,
let loose like a free spirit;
be refrained and just have fun-
time just doesn't allow it.

Between shopping and appointments
and keeping everything in harmony
so there are no disappointments.
I plan so very carefully.

Family is my first commitment
my wants are second choice.
A breath of fresh air-a figment;
my playful inner voice.
