Ghosts of the past, creeping in my view
Hints of shadows, casting forgotten ideas once new
Sometimes my younger voice whispers thoughts for me to hear
Yet I don't look behind, my gaze is close and near
Contemplation of the future, with mind focused yet
The past, an eerie haunting, flashes a regret
Perhaps I'll find the passion for old ideas the spirit sends
I'll use old and new thoughts, before both the spirits ends
