he’ll remember the future as his past
in scope, this is something like a labyrinth
for galactic whirls go every which way
once he read of an ‘uncertainty principle’
where actuality swerves on quantum scale
cold and dismissive if not derisive
future has possibilities, past education
both interchangeable, both in thin lines
merging into a path of singularity
thus, he thinks, things exist he can’t decipher
fertile grounds of past he can’t let go
and future still will be here but only as a good idea
