The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Jamál (Beauty), 17 ‘Izzat (Might) 174 BE - Sunday, September 24, 2017 There are only 28 days left until the bicentenary celebration of the Birth of Baha'u'llah. I have completed 182 of the 200 poems I am dedicated to the Blessed Beauty, one of the titles of Baha'u'llah, and I have only 18 to complete. I started poem 183 today, but I have not finished it yet. The tentative title for poem 183 is Double Rainbow because it refers to the Twin Holy Days (the Birth of the Bab and Baha'u'llah), which are always celebrated on consecutive days. The bicentenary of the Birth of the Bab occurs in 2018. Dawn of a New Day: Revelation of Baha'u'llah Why does the night deepen? To fight day rising splendor! Why does the sky bleed? The glory of the Beloved! Who scatters dawn's rays? The atoms of beauty! What makes morning cold? Shedding its grandeur into Space earth bleeds for the Beloved! Who ignites the dawn? Rays of living light Dispel the legions of night! I wrote this poem in 150 BE, with the intention of using Who, What, Why, When, Where, and How questions. I had to change that intention when I could not think of any When, Where, and How questions. I still can't think of any questions right now, so I'll probably leave this poem as it is for the present. |
