The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Saturday, October 7, 2017 Dance with me upon the surface of Mars, together we will find out if Mars is red, butterscotch, golden, brown, tan, greenish, or some other color.1 The "Blogging Circle of Friends " prompt for DAY 1787 This is World Space Week (October 4-10), the theme for 2017 is “Exploring New Worlds in Space”. Let this inspire your entry. “Exploring New Worlds in Space” On the cusp of new adventures and discoveries, humanity ponders the cold darkness of interstellar space. We send our robot explorers outward, into orbits around our sister planets. We point the camera eyes of our orbiters and other instruments toward interstellar and intergalactic space. Looking for life, habitable planets, black holes, or the rim of our expanding universe. Seeking knowledge to carry us into the unforeseeable future. We "Search for Extraterrestrial Life"2, hoping to answer the question "Are we alone in the universe?" “Exploring New Worlds in Space”3 novelist and poets write about what we could find when humanity sets foot on another planet. What will we find, when we set foot on Mars? What will we find when we reach the planets of other star systems? The human imagination can suggest, but it cannot give us concrete answers. For concrete answers, human beings must leave the relative safety of Earth to explore the unknown. Are we alone in the Universe? No! I believe that life exists else where in the universe. Footnotes |
