Halloween, Holiday For A Person

Blog City Prompt: Joy says that people like magic and mystery in their lives and this is why they like and want Halloween. She asked if we need Halloween.

I think of Halloween as being a fun day and we like to have fun with the supernatural and an excuse to eat and buy candy. It is a chance to feel spooky and for those of us who believe in ghosts and spooky things, we need it. As long as it stays fun and doesn't hurt anyone. It is an excuse to pick out pumpkins and for those who like to get all dressed up. Halloween events help us forget for awhile that winter is coming.

BCOF Prompt: Lyn asked what holiday would we have in honor of someone living or dead.

Glen Campbell and Prince. They gave us great music and were good people. I could wear purple on Prince Day and threw dyed purple water in the air and all over. I would watch Purple Rain" and play his music. I could ride a horse on Glen Campbell day and dressed like a Rhinestone Cowgirl. Have a cook out and sing Glen Campbell songs then watch "True Grit." These holidays sound good to me.
