Night Patrol in Sin City

The "Blogging Circle of Friends " prompt for DAY 132
Use the title Night Patrol for a story or poem.
Night Patrol in Sin City
Metros' helicopter flies
above the streets of Sin City,
its light penetrating the darkness,
causing The Lady
to tremble
as her hookers look up
hoping they and their johns
are not tonight's targets.
The helicopter moves on,
its pilots ignoring
the small sins of woman
attempting to survive
on a male dominated planet.
Tonight's targets
are the gangs
and small time drug lords
haunting the poorer
sections of Lost Wages, Nevada.
Other helicopters
patrol the gated communities
to protect them from the thieves
no wealthy enough
to afford
three story houses,
swimming pools,
or illegal aliens
to do their yard work.
Poet's Note: Sin City, The Lady, and Lost Wages, are all nicknames for Las Vegas. Author's Disclaimer: Contrary to what this poem shows, Las Vegas is a good place to live. However, like other big cities in America we do have our problems, which is why the Metro Police Department has night helicopter patrols.
