Last Minute Christmas Shopping

Customers thoughts are beginning to frazzle,
The air inside the stores are muggy,
The decorations no longer dazzle,
And the cashiers are going buggy.

The calender shows that it's Christmas Eve,
The weather reports warns of a blizzard,
Because of the sidewalk's frost heave,
Walking has became a hazard.

You want to stay home and gossip on Facebook,
Or go to the bar for a cocktail,
But you still have to purchase two pounds of chinook,
And the dressed flesh of four or five quail.
