Was there something you did in 2017 that you may remember the rest of your life, and when you consider the rest of your life, what percentage of what you learned or experienced this year do you think will be useful to you?

A Memorable and Awesome Year

Two-thousand Seventeen was both a memorable and awesome year. This year the Baha'is across the world celebrated the two hundredth anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah. I wrote two hundred poems dedicated to Baha'u'all, and put them in "Bicentenary Poems and Prose" . I learned that I could survive without computer access to the internet, if I have to. I found my brother-in-laws ashes in a storage box, along with four urns containing the ashes of pets. At this point, I believe about twenty-five to fifty percent of the things I learned will be useful to me in the coming year, but it could be more or less I will have to see as the year progresses.

Day by day
time moves forward
leaving behind memories
that bring tears or laughter.
