Feed Back on Faith!

I get positive and negative feed back.
Essentially, I just write whatever pops into my noggin.
Carl Jung wrote that there are no original thoughts.
We are a collective unconscious hot mess.

A Preacher asked me, "What do you believe?"
I answered, "People can believe anything.
The question should be what evidence do you have."
The Preacher was buying a blue screen 52" TV.

My dad was old school Roman Catholic.+
I was learning to question everything in grammar school.
I was also learning about Charles Darwin.
I asked my dad, "How could all the animals fit on Noah's Arch?"

His answer was dogmatic, "Nothing is impossible for God."
There was no discussion.
Dad told me the Universe exists in the mind of God.
I asked, "Where did God come from?"

Dad looked shocked, "God is eternal."
He asked me if I wanted to be Catholic.
I was 11 years old.
I was nervous he would be angry with my answer.
I looked out the window, "I don't know."

Dad sent all his children to Catholic Catechism Indoctrination.
He called the Principle Sister Mary Emeritus at Cambridge Catholic High school.
In order to be a confirmed Roman Catholic, you had to accept the doctrines of the faith.
Confirmation happened at the twelfth year of a Baptized Catholic.
My answer at 11 years old could have excommunicated me from the Roman Catholic Church.

I was in big trouble.
Sister Emeritus argued from the history martyrdom of the Apostles and Saints.
Why would they sacrifice their lives for a lie?
I realized my dad would flip out if I was excommunicated.
I accepted the Sister's argument and I was confirmed on my 12ft birthday.

Any who, all this drama taught me that true believers cannot be reasoned with.
I get feed back from true believers and it is negative and they do not want to be reasonable.
Why have so many people died for non-christian religions?
There are more Moslem martyrs than Christians.
Obviously, Christians will not accept this as proof of the truth of Islam.

Islam is the largest religion in the world.
If the truth of religion was proven by popularity, then Islam would win.
But, Christians do not want to be Moslem.
They believe they have the one true faith.

I like Jesus.
I was raised in a conservative Roman Catholic Vatican home.
My dad would only attend Latin Masses.
I asked Father Keen, "Jesus spoke Hebrew. Should the Mass be in Hebrew?"
He chuckled, "He was under Roman occupation and would speak Latin too."

Father John Keen told me to, "Question all things."
He died in 1998.
He had obesity ..
I blamed the church ladies for over feeding him.
Dad said, "God decides when we die."

I held my tongue ....
I think we should take responsibility for our choices.
Father Keen could be alive today, if he had been on a diet.
He was a retired Marine ...
