Lloyd Bridges  , born on this day in 1913, once said "I'm foremost an actor. I feel embarrassed being compared to the guys who really work at it. I fake it, I make believe I know all about it, which is what you're supposed to do as an actor." What are your thoughts on this, in relation to the things you write?

Thoughts on Writing

I pray, read the scriptures, meditate, research, contemplate, and I write my opinion. I look at the items I have written in the past, and consider whether I wrote them for pleasure, stated my own opinions, or wrote them for some other reason. As for faking it, I think at one time or another every creative person feels this. Sometimes it has to do with the individual not knowing or admitting their talent, at other times it is because they are growing spiritually and realize that some of their past work doesn't reflect their present belief.

The "Blogging Circle of Friends prompt for DAY 1490-
“One of the most persistent narrative patterns in literature, including journalism, is the manner in which a curse can become a blessing and a blessing can become a curse.” John Casey, Beyond the First Draft What do you think about this quote and what about real life? Can you pinpoint instances in life, yours or in the life of someone you know, when a blessing and a curse exchanged places?

Blessing or Curse

Hidden within each difficulty
is a blessing.

There have been times in my life when I thought that a particular situation was a curse, or that I was cursed. However, once I begin to contemplate the events, and meditate upon the lesson I learned, I realized that it was a message from God pointing me in a different direction. Once I understood what caused the problem, it became a blessing rather than a curse.
