Objects that go bang, clang, or bump in the night,
wake me with a turn your hair white fright,
wondering if I will see a horrifying sight;
Maybe a few ghosties,
ghoulies,
or long-leggedy beasties.

Thunder clashed and lightning flashed,
huge raindrops plopped and splashed,
storm clouds rolled and tumbled through the night,
dissipating with the morning light,
and leaving behind a devastating sight.

Tree limbs were laying on the ground,
flooded streets closed throughout the town,
and the rivers were rising higher and higher.
