It's too cold for this!

I saw my first snake of the season today, or I should say Mopsy saw it first. She was on the windowsill with her nose to the screen looking down intently. I went to see and this skinny black snake with the longest flickering black tongue imaginable was slithering up through the vines of the shrub under the window, coming directly at Mopsy! I yanked Mopsy back and slammed down the window. Whew, that was close.
