Is Silence Fear?

Silence
isn't always fear,
but when you think it is
open your mouth and speak your truth.

Proclaim your
spiritual path to the world,
and don't remain silent because
someone may want to know your chosen path.

Announce your opinion calmly,
and be willing to listen to other peoples opinion.

Five Senses of Spring

Sparrows singing in pine trees,
while building nests for their eggs,
and rain clouds gather on the horizon
promising April showers.

A gentle breeze caresses my bare arms,
its warmth invigorating
after winter's long sleeved sweaters,
and carries to my nostrils
the perfume of the neighbor's tulips.

A grape Popsicle from the ice cream truck
brings back memories of my childhood.
