The Three Onenesses (19 poems)
The Three Onenesses1

1
Oneness of Religion

Prisms
separate light
into its component parts.

Divine Manifestations
separate faith into symbols
comprehensible to the human mind.

2
One God

Original cause generated evolution's laws;
Nature responds toe effect with cause;
Each spiritual laws has its physical counterpart.

Generator of creation's original cause: The Deity
Operates in accordance with His own laws;
Direct evolution's symphony.

3
One Race

Germinated
in the womb of Africa
humanity sent shoots worldwide.

4
One Earth

One planet
Encased in a shell of oxygen
Floats in an ocean of cold hydrogen
Swarming with the constituents of
One race

5
Love is the Link

Love is the link that unifies,
the scattered segments of humankind,
creating out of chaos Earth's soul and mind.

6
Variegated Threads

Variegated threads entwine
Braiding themselves
Into rainbow cords of light
Weaving themselves
Into spiral staircases
Reflecting in their beauty
Cosmic diversity
Divine harmony

7
Visions of Unity

Catch the vision of unity
From the words of Baha'u'llah,
The oneness of humanity.

8
Power of God

The power of God
is sufficient to the joy
o creating a world community
living in peace and unity.

9
Earth's Soul

The planet Earth is an organism
--a living creature--
and humanity is its soul.

We are the spirit--
the soul force--
which animates the planet.

10
We The People

We the people
are black,
white,
yellow,
brown,
and red.

We the people
are motes reflecting
the Glory of God's resplendent sun.

We the people
are one family in Baha'u'llah.

11
Created From the Same Substance

The love of God
Created a single species
Humanity

12
Gingerbread Man

Gingerbread Man, where are you from?
Gingerbread Man, how did you come
to be in unity with all humanity?
My spicy
sweet tan crumb!

13
Olduvai Gorge

Take me home to Olduvai Gorge,
To the birthplace of humanity,
To the spot where our evolution begun,
On the eastern Serengeti.

14
Behold Humanity

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Behold humanity beautiful,
In all its various shades and hues,
The gem in the crown of creation.

15
Common Threads

Common threads
run through the tapestry of religion
uniting its panels.

These threads
are God's Manifestations.

Each renewed
proceeding faiths;
each brought humanity
both spiritual and material laws.

Abraham,
the Father of the Faith,
is one of the common threads
uniting Judaism,
Christianity,
Islam,
and Baha'i.

Each faith
is a chapter
in the Book of God.

16
The Human Genome

Brotherhood is in our cells;
in the double helix of our DNA.

It rises
through aeons of alienation imposed
by ancestral migrations
that carried us
out of Africa's womb
to the edge of interplanetary space.

17
Divine Unity

Divine unity:
All religions emanate
from a single source.

18
God's Prophet-Manifestations

God's Prophet-Manifestations
Are the rivers containing the water of faith
That quenches humanity's thirst.

It is the symbolic connotations
Accompanying the revelation of God's Prophet-Manifestations
That are hidden from blind eyes.

19
Friend of Humanity

Amicus humani generis
The Manifestation of God!
Friend of the human race
Protagonist of unity,
and lover of humanity.

Poet's Note:
