What's been happening in your world? What would you like to see happen in your world? What can we do to make blogging more interesting to you?

What's Happening
in My Neck of the Cactus

Somewhere people are partying
celebrating Cinco De Mayo,
or researching
the horses running
in the Kentucky Derby.

Here in Las Vegas
people are dreading
the approaching triple digit tempers,
a tech company wants to
deploy 30 self-driving BMWs
as Lyft cars,
and Summerlin is proclaimed
the most popular neighborhood
in the city.

What would I like
to see happening in my world?

I am a world citizen. My world is the planet Earth. My grass-root area is Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America. What I would like to see is universal health care with reasonable co-pays, if we have to have co-pays. It is difficult for the poor, dispossessed, and senior citizens to get immediate health care with reasonable co-pays. I would also like it to be easier, with less wait time, to get into an emergency room or quick care medical faculty. Right now, the only people seen immediately in a hospital emergency room are those with life threatening gunshot wounds.
