The Ant Hill

"Be fruitful and multiply,
increase greatly on the earth..."
So, in the beginning,
we were admonished.

We've become drones
to our hormones,
overpopulating
our colony
to a point where
resources are depleted
and we are forced
to fight for scraps.

The value of others
has become less than
our personal needs.
Vanity versus humanity.

War, pestilence, famine
are no longer catastrophes;
they are survival skills...

and we are becoming experts
at a game with no winners.
