Tuesday Consultation and sunflowers, moonflowers, and roses
Fiḍál (Grace), 5 Kalimát (Words) 175 B.E. - Tuesday, July 17, 2018

"The Great Being saith: The heaven of divine wisdom is illumined with the two luminaries of consultation and compassion. Take ye counsel together in all matters, inasmuch as consultation is the lamp of guidance which leadeth the way, and is the bestower of understanding."
Bahá’u’lláh1

The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's ParadiseOpen in new Window. Prompt for DAY 1673
Whether we are aware of it or not, we negotiate, or meet people halfway, every day. Where do you think is the success in negotiating?

According to the Oxford Living Dictionaries negotiate means "Discussion aimed at reaching an agreement."2 While consultations is defined as "The action or process of formally consulting or discussing."3 Negotiation does no good without some type of consultation or discussion between individuals, because any compromise that follows will be resented by one party or the other. Consultation is discussing the (known) pro and con in order to come to a consensus--"a generally accepted opinion; wide agreement"4" or majority decision. In consultation everyone gets to state their opinion before the consensus or majority decision is reached.

Sunflowers, moonflowers, and roses.

Sunflowers

Smiling yellow blooms
turn their faces to the sun,
as I turn my soul to God's Glory.

Moonflowers

Moonflowers bloom
their angelic blossoms reflecting
the sun's mirrored rays.

Roses:
Martyrs' Rose

With its white petals rimmed in red,
The Martyrs' rose reflects dawn's light:
In the Barrack's Square their blood was shed.

This is a poem I've been working on for a while. It is dedicated to The Bab5 and Anis--a youthful believer--were executed in the barracks square in Tabriz on July 9, 1850.6
