An American breakfast
is more than simply biscuit
and sausage gravy;
its a smorgasbord of multicultural flavors.

It is Huevos Rancheros or Chicken Chilaquiles,
with fresh Jalapeño peppers.

It is a multinational taste sensation,
with recipe and vegetation contributions
by Native Americans,
Germans,
Russians,
Indians,
etc.

It is a multitude of established
culinary traditions
from across Earth,
which were brought to America
by immigrants
seeking a better life
for themselves and their children.

It is a project
of combining flavors and cultures
into an appealing meal
that encourages unity and peace.

It is vain
and pointless
to attempt to poison
to food with prejudice
and walls.
