Meditation on Forgiveness, Gratitude List. and Thoughts

Jalál (Glory), 18 Kamál (Perfection) 175 B.E. - Saturday, August 18, 2018

"When the sinner findeth himself wholly detached and freed from all save God, he should beg forgiveness and pardon from Him. Confession of sins and transgressions before human beings is not permissible, as it hath never been nor will ever be conducive to divine forgiveness. Moreover such confession before people results in one’s humiliation and abasement, and God—exalted be His glory—wisheth not the humiliation of His servants. Verily He is the Compassionate, the Merciful. The sinner should, between himself and God, implore mercy from the Ocean of mercy, beg forgiveness from the Heaven of generosity …"

Meditation on Forgiveness2

In the privacy of my chamber,
in the silence of morning
or evening,
I contemplate forgiveness
and ask my Lord to forgive me.

Gratitude List for 18 Kamál

Today I am thankful...
          ...that I was able to have $10.00 sent to my PayPal account from My Survey account. I have 556 points left in My Survey account.
          ...that my Bank of America checking account is not overdrawn today.
          ...that I have 745 points in My Survey account.
          ...for the post of one of my Facebook friends. He said the we need to know why we believe in God because it isn't enough to just have faith that God exists. This post caused me to think of a couple of questions I can use as beginnings of free writes during my meditation and prayer time: Why do I believe in God? Why do I believe that Baha'u'llah is the promised one of all religions?
          ...that I got my hair colored today.

I read and reviewed an intriguing and thought provoking item by Wordsmitty ✍️ called "My Quotes" . In it the author stated "Every great person needs to have attributed quotes," which sounds like a good idea to me. I like reading profound, thought provoking, inspiring, and humorous quotes from other; so why shouldn't I keep a list of my own quotes. I'll call it "Snow's Quotes".
