The Lie

The Lie

We stand beneath a dismal sky,
Listening top our minds whispering The Lie.

The Lie which we all hear,
That curdles our blood and makes us cower in fear.

We are only human,
So we live by The Lie's illusion.

The Lie,
We believe until the day we die.

Then our realsed spirit detect The Lie,
That states: "We all must die!"

This was written sometime in 145 B.E. The inspiration was the Baha'i scriptures about the immortality of the soul.
