The virtues
of the seeker after truth
are two:
first, to seek knowledge,
second, to pray for blessings.

With these twin virtues
the seeker can discover
the secrets of the universe.

The Right Word

Is it a poetic myth
or a reality?

I am composing
mystic love poems
not translating the sacred scriptures for Persian or Arabic.3

If there is a right word,
or a right line
to begin the ode...
What is it?
