Books You Hated As A Child But Love Now
Prompt: Lyn says she hated Jane Austen and Edith Wharton when she was a young girl but loves them now. She asked what books we hated as a child but love now.

I didn't know who Jane Austen was until a few years ago but I love her now and The Bronte Sisters I love. I don't like Ernest Hemingway but after reading about his life and that, I respect him now. I don't read his books. I can't stand Mark Twain. He was arrogant and stuffy. WHO SAID HE COULD WRITE? Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer? Boring! I don't really like male authors. I like Nancy Drew, Dana Girls and Literature stories from school. I like Black Beauty, Alice In Wonderland, Wizard Of Oz and Dr. Suess. I love Cat In The Hat. I grew up on Dick and Jane. I love them. I hate Of Mice And Men. That book is crap. Give me Jane Austen. She is my girl and favorite. This is where I stand with this.

Another portrait of the Bronte Sisters.
