Spend at least fifteen minutes clarifying things through "What If" brainstorming, mind mapping (see resources at the bottom of the calendar), freestyle writing, lists, drawings or research as follows:
World Building: For fantasy, science fiction, or other speculative fiction, develop the history, geology, ecology, and/or maps for your world.
This is a Science Fiction Action/Adventure. There are nine planets in this novel. Unnion is the home planet. The other eights are among the fifteen other planets in this Group of Planets. I’m not going to be describing any of them in detail. Just that area of the planet is within this novel.
Research: For reality-based fiction, research aspects of your novel that will lend credibility to your writing.
No research needed for this novel. After all, this is a Science Fiction novel. The only thing that might need some explanation is Wandita’s spaceship and MiniShuttle. They are complicated and technical, but I don’t do technicals in my novels, short stories, etc. I believe that it confuses most readers. I know it does me.
