Deep
in material tranquility
yesterday reposes.

Yesterday
whispers its diurnal wisdom
in the reverberation of rhythm.

Deep
in spiritual tranquility
tomorrow reposes.

Tomorrow
whispers its eternal wisdom
in the reverberation of rhyme.

Gratitude List for 7 Mashíyyat

Today I am thankful...
          ...that I have a new surge protector for my computer. This surge protector, unlike the last one, has two green lights instead of a green and red light. The red light is on the power switch.
          ...for the Internal Delight Reese's Peanut Butter Cup creamer I had in my coffee this morning.
          ...that I have a smartphone that can receive presidential alerts.
          ...that I was able to read Why Does God Allow Illness and Suffering?   by Simon Ward today. It is the second article of the series The Way the Creator Sees Us  .
          ...that the rent is paid for October.
