Kamál (Perfection), 19 Mashíyyat (Will) 175 B.E. - Monday, October 15, 2018
Make an alphabetical list of 26 items starting with each letter of the alphabet. Any random items, related items, as long as they are in alphabetical order... be creative, imaginative, weird... Alphabetical Motivation It's Monday, October 15, the third Motivational Monday in October 2018. I've had a cinnamon roll and my first cup of coffee, which should be enough motivation to finish this list. I posted my goals list to "Weekly Goals" and have a copy of it in "Weekly Goals for 2024" . That particular document has other things that I need to do, as well. The only things in "Weekly Goals for 2024" that I seem to be able to do in a consistent basis is the weekly goals list, and cleaning out my writing.com inbox. The other thing I accomplish, on a semi-consistent basis, is write poems on "Themes For Poems and Blog entries" . The items on the list below, will end up in a poem, short story, or essay; unless I get distracted (a problem lately) and ignore them entirely. A - Ascension of 'Abdu'l-Baha, November 28. B - "Bring thyself to account each day ere thou art summoned to a reckoning; for death, unheralded, shall come upon thee and thou shalt be called to give account for thy deeds." Baha'u'llah1 C - Coffee and/or Chocolate. D - Day of the Covenant, November 26. E - Earth Day 2019: Protect Our Species2. F - "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." Martin Luther King, Jr. G - Gratitude: appreciation, acknowledgment, obligation, recognition, thanks, appreciativeness, grace, gratefulness, honor, indebtedness, praise, requital, response, responsiveness, thankfulness, thanksgiving, and sense of obligation. H - "Humanity is but a single Brotherhood: So make peace with your brothern." Quran 49:10. I - I Am J - Joy K - Kiasu: "(of a person) having a grasping or selfish attitude arising from a fear of missing out on something"3. L - Letters of the Living: The Disciples of the Bab. M - Mashriqu’l-Adhkar: the Dawning Place of the Mention of God4. N - Novel Writing Month: November. O - One eyed, one horned flying purple people eater. P - Phare: "a lighthouse or beacon to guide ships at sea"5. Q - Qudrat: Power, might, authority, dominion, celestial might, omnipotence, transcendent power, indomitable strength, all-pervading power, ascendancy, divine power; Feast of Qudrat (Power); see "Themes For Poems and Blog entries" . R - Ray of Sunshine. S - Speech: words, testimony; see "Themes For Poems and Blog entries" ; Feast of Qawl (Speech). T - Twin Holy Days: Birth of the Bab, November 9, and Birth of Baha'u'llah, November 10. U - United Nations Day , October 24. V - Vanity of Vampires. W - World Citizen Day , November 4. X - Xenophile: "a person who likes foreigners or things foreign"6. Y - Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. Z - Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah7. I need to keep close track of my goals and motivation. I can do that in my pen and paper journal, and transpose it to my gratitude journal, as one of the things I am thankful for. Footnotes |
