The World Repaired

One heart at a time
the tears of a thousand years
are dried;
the deep heart wounds sutured
with forgiveness-love;
and the million plus names of God
united in a single phrase.

Than
the Children of the Book,
the Children of God,
the Chosen Ones,
the Saved,
become guiding lights
on the highway of unity.

How Do You Make a Difference?

You make a difference simply by being alive. You make a difference by continuing to survive. You make a difference when you smile, laugh, or pray. You make a difference by getting up every day. You make a difference because you were born at a specific time in history. You make a difference each time you write a poem, an essay, a short story, a novel, a rant, or a thank you note. You make a difference by being you, because there is no other human being exactly like you.

across the cosmos
sparking atoms into flight
and igniting stars

Nothing is static;
even in stillness
atomic and subatomic particles vibrate
to BE's melody.

BE is revealed
in the movement
of light particles
and waves
as they penetrate
or circumambulate

objects.

BE calms
the poet's anxiety
as she picks up a pencil
to write.
