To Mark Sadan

Sandwiched between
yesterday and tomorrow
negatives mate,
give birth to corporeality hybrid:

Slides
sculpted by imagination
and tinted with emotions
reveal...

A wall of cars
standing guard over childhood memories;

A door
held in the embrace of darkness
stands open to the pure light of faith;

A dark Icelandic horse
its main and tail flowing
runs across the harsh landscape
escaping from/to
the home of the faire folk;

Silent craters stand tall,
their mist shrouded depths
concealing the secrets of creation;

Seen
through the eye of an infrared lens
the seat of the Universal House of Justice
stand unveiled
in all its power and glory;

Warriors in full battle array
preserve tribal traditions
and celebrate
by decorating themselves
in brilliant reds,
and exquisite yellow,
and feathered masks
to commemorate the reality
of past ceremonies;

The blue chair of the Beloved
sets in paradise
framing the red rose of faith;

Squares of translucent plastic
reveal life and death--
phases of existence,
stages of the soul's education--
the soul survives
creating its own heaven or hell,
opens the door to immortality
in all the worlds of God,
eternal happiness is bestowed by God's Manifestation.
