Thanksgiving break
and I have to spend it
studying because
I fudged
my way through my last exam,
fishing for answers
from my spaghetti brain
and praying for leftover
knowledge tucked away
somewhere between
my ears.

If I don’t get
at least a B on my next test,
I’m toast!

Written from the perspective of my granddaughter who has senioritis and failed (The F word) her last exam and was relegated to her room for the Thanksgiving break to study.
