Prompt: "What's your favorite thing to do with your family or a friend?"

I'm a little old fashioned I guess but my favorite family activity is and always was to gather around the table and have a meal. Family meals are so important and they have gone to the wayside. Even nuclear families have lost touch with each other as both parents work, usually different shifts and dinner has become a thing of the past. Shame on us!

Prompt: "Who is a person you met this year that surprised or delighted you and why?"

I have met quite a few people this year who have surprised me.Many of them are veterans here at the veterans home where I live. When I first met a few of them my first impression was not favorable but every one of them has turned out to be good friends.
