December the fifth – Five Hundred Percent Better Yesterday
Five Hundred Percent Better Yesterday

True, I only got five hundred words written yesterday, but that’s five hundred more than I did on Monday. I could have probably gotten another hundred or two done yesterday, but I decided not to do it. This five hundred put my WDC Short Story at fifty percent done. Which means I shouldn’t have too much trouble getting the other half of this story done next Monday and Tuesday, aka my days off.

What does that mean for the rest of this week? This week I’m going back to working on my scriptwriting. I have decided to continue with my Treasure Finders project, but I going to be starting it from scratch. The older version is more like an Action/Adventure instead of a Drama. There is one like that, but it’s not what I want to do right now. I do have five that are Action/Adventures. Right now, I want to do some Dramas, though.

The old version had a team of Treasure Finders. Six Treasure Finders and two assistants who helped them. Before they became a team, there was only two of them who traveled from planet to planet taking all the treasures from that planet. Once they have done that, they move on to another planet. That is what is about to happen with them. They are about to take one more thing from there before they leave that planet, but it doesn’t go as it’s supposed to happen. A lot of their takings don’t go as planned. The television series this movie follows will show that.

Why do they get away with so much taking? It’s because of their ages. They are adults, but they look like what most of us call children. I call them early to middle teens. So, they only take from planets that are three to five, preferably four, times their actual ages. Why do they do that? They do it because who would suspect a ‘child’ of doing these takings when there are so many adults out there trying to do it too.

I know that if this project ever becomes a movie or a television series too that it will be changed drastically. More than likely it will become an Action/Adventure like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. That isn’t too bad. I could maybe live with that, but not them taking away the Science Fiction part of it and most of all what makes them so good at taking, aka their ages.
