Kamal (Perfection), 6 Masa’il (Questions) 175 B.E. - Monday, December 17, 2018 "One must remember that the purpose of this life is to prepare the soul for the next." Baha'i Writings The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" prompt for DAY 1827 The meaning of life for some people can be the privilege of existence or to feel one’s worth or to own a dog or a myriad of other things. What is the meaning of life for you or, if you don't want to talk about yourself, someone you know or a character you’ve created? What is the Meaning of Life? What is the meaning of life? What is the purpose of being born into this world? For me, the purpose and meaning of life are interconnected with each other and with my spiritual path. A human being is a soul possessing entity, and is born into this material world so that the soul can develop the spiritual virtues it needs to survive in the spiritual world. When the body dies, it returns to the atoms from which it was created. At the death of the body, the soul ascends into the next world--the world of the spirit--and there it has only the spiritual virtues that it developed in its so journey with the physical body. The body dies, and the soul ascends into the next world. There it continues to advance with whatever spiritual qualities it acquired while partnered with the body. Each soul is a unique creation of the Almighty, and does not return to the physical plan in another body of any kind, whether human, animal, or plant. When the soul ascends into the spiritual world it continues to advance toward God, the eternal Beloved of the soul. I believe my, individual, purpose is to write spiritual poetry and to proclaim the name of Baha'u'llah, the Glory of God. |
