Birth of a New Civilization: Two Poem
Poem One

I see a new world rising;
like the Phoenix from the ashes;
the new from the old.

Like a woman in childbirth,
the world is racked with pain,
waiting for release.

This planet is enshrouded,
with trouble and death.

To its wars there seems no end!

Our science is not help,
it doesn't bring us peace.

Our governments fight each other,
in cold war or in hot.
The great religions fight one another,
each claiming the only way to God.

God loves all mankind!

The old world is dying of the cancer of hate,
From its purified ashes arises the new!

Poem Two

with each contraction,
the paon grows worse:
Blood flows in the streets!

Birth approaches,
humanity's labor nears its end:
The Horsemen gallop through the world!

The pain grows worse,
with each contraction:
Like a sickle
Death swings his scimitar!

The hooves of war strike the earth
setting the world on fire!

Famine plows fertile soil
planting seeds of hopelessness!

Plague copulates without regard
to who, what, when, or where!

Humanity's labor nears its end,
birth approaches:
The Horsemen's steeds have new names:
Terrorism!
Ethnic Cleansing!
War Lord!
Xenophobia!

Humanity's labor nears its end,
with each contraction,
the pain grows worse,
birth approaches.
