Two Versions of Small Moments

Small Moments:
Version One

It is in the small moments,
In the silence of meditation,
When my minds asks,
         and my soul answers,
That free will chooses.

It is in the silent moments,
In the seconds between though and action,
That I learn the difference between death and life,
Between material and spiritual,
Between purgatory and paradise.

Small Moments:
Version Two

It's in the small moments,
in the silent seconds,
in the tranquil episodes
between the hours of chaos
that transformation occurs.

Metamorphoses,
Occurs in the silence of the chrysalis,
After close encounters of the mortal kind,
After the altered reality of terror,
After a sudden shock reveals the difference
Between the way I am
versus the way I want to be.

My soul speaks in the small moments,
In the silent intervals between chaos and the void,
After diurnal existence
Pushes my envelop to busting.

It's in the small moments,
In the nanoseconds between sleeping and waking
That I evolve.
